Takara Lawrence
Nationally Board Certified
Licensed Medical Massage & Bodywork Therapist & Interior Designer
“My vision is to reflect balance, hope, comfort and emotional sunlight into the lives of others through living with intention, vibrancy and spirit.”
Takara is a native of Southwestern Virginia, where she grew up on a small farm in the Appalachian region nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She attended Blue Ridge School of Massage & Yoga, where she received certificates in medical massage therapy and yoga. She later attended Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona furthering her studies in massage & bodywork therapies. She then moved to Utah, where she owned and operated a massage studio in Salt Lake City for over 7 years. Life and the joy of living brought she and her husband to Bethlehem, New Hampshire where they call the beautiful White Mountain Region home.
Takara loves seeing the evidence of progress brought by manipulating the soft tissue in a way that can ease the tension of postural holding patterns helping her clients find relief from pain, allowing them a more fluid body movement. This is achieved through a grounded approach where her clients are able to relax into the healing process. Let's use the power of touch to help bring positive light into your day, find balance, embrace your lifestyle and treasure your mind, body & spirit.
In addition to Massage & Bodywork, Takara is an Interior Designer, and owns/operates Hold Designs, LLC. She feels a connection in our overall wellbeing with our ambiance. She blends these two industries in what she calls ‘Wellness Design’.
WELLNESS DESIGN
CREATING INTENTIONAL SPACES TO DEFINE YOUR SANCTUARY
What does your favorite reading corner look like?
What does it FEEL like?
Your favorite coffee spot?
Your favorite restaurant?
Is it the food or the ambiance that keeps you coming back?
Let’s design your space intentionally so that it defines your sanctuary. Imagine a home where you can feel at peace, where your body, mind and spirit can rest yet be inspired at the same time.
There are many ways to approach ‘wellness design’, and as a Massage Therapist, I am no stranger to talking about healing spaces. Through this process we would work together to identify what creates the feeling you want your room to portray. This is achieved through colors, textures, plants, lighting, artwork, furniture style, space, patterns, and the list goes on.
In addition to ‘wellness’ in the form of healthy emotions, wellness design can also include focus on indoor air quality, sustainable materials, light quality, healthy lifestyle habits, and so on.
